What Damage Risks are covered on a Property Insurance Policy?

Named risks are usually listed on the Property Insurance Policy. These are fire, explosion, lightning and thunderbolt, smoke, escape of water or oil, riot, strikes, civil commotion, malicious acts and vandalism, flood, theft or attempted theft, falling trees/branches, impact damage, subsidence, landslip and heave in addition to catastrophe perils. Catastrophe perils include tropical storms, windstorms, cyclones, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tidal waves, and tsunamis.
